Pilates are great for toning that mommy tummy I like the 10 minute solution pilates. Also, I just read an article this morning that would be of help to you, as I have been looking up the answer to this very same question! Here is some links:
Breastfeeding helped me to loose weight very efficiently. Just think, every drop of milk your baby gets comes out of your body. So you can expect to loose at least a pound for each pound baby gains, but rather more since baby does not convert every drop into bodyweight.
While you are not supposed to diet during breastfeeding, it’s smart to cut out sodas and sweets, which only bring empty calories.
Exercising, the easiest way is to go on nice walks with baby in the stroller or in the sling every day. That’s great for you and baby. Walking you can start as soon you feel up to it again. Other exercise should better wait until six weeks postpartum, so your uterus gets all the time needed to contract again.
I breastfed for 3 months and within about 4 or 5 months lost all my weight gained during pregnancy plus a little more. Breast feeding does help you lose the weight. It also helps your uterus shrink back to size. I also think when you breast feed you try to eat better since what you are eating is going to affect your milk and go into your baby so this may help too. Just watch what you eat and do some cardio.
breastfeeding helped me lose my pregnancy weight and then some. but some women have a harder time losing weight. eat right and exercise. i oculdnt exercise for a long time, i had a c-section but i think after your 6 week check up you are usually good to go
